Real Reason Behind Dennis Kucinich's Articles of Impeachment being sent to house Judiciary committee!

Remember last month, November 6th 2007, when Kucinich's Articles Of Impeachment were introduced as a privileged resolution (H Res 333 - now called H Res 799)? Do you remember some rather spectacular "goings on" that day? Well it survived an attempt to table (kill) it. Ultimately it was referred to the House Judiciary Committee headed by John Conyers. It seems the Main Stream Media didn't fully cover the events of that day.

Hum..., lets see here, as I was listening to a rebroadcast of the Randi Rhodes show, Randi was in "rapped attention", well she was literally "freaking out" to the C-Span coverage as events unfolded. The vote started out like any other house resolution vote. 20 minuets into the vote H Res 333 was going down to defeat. Then all of a sudden, Randi went ballistic. Randi couldn't believe her eyes as she watched C-Span on the monitor - the republicans were changing their vote. Then Democrats who voted against H Res 333, not to be embarrassed by fellow republicans, changed their votes in favor of H Res 333.

This was "real" drama unfolding before ...my very eyes - well ears actually. I was absolutely dumbstruck. Why in the world would a republican vote for Articles Of Impeachment - they couldn't be crazy? Why would house republicans turn against their own Vice President? "Whats going on here", I said to myself. "Is there more to this story than meets the ear?"

A few weeks later I happened upon these articles:

I'll briefly summarize "the jest" of these three articles and insert my analysis in chronological order by numbered points:

1. Remember those six stealth AGM-129 Advanced Cruise Missiles, each armed with a variable yield 5 - 150 kt, W-80-1 nuclear warhead, (actually variable yield devices from 5 to 150 kt, also could be used as "bunker busting" devices) were "accidentally" left on the tarmac at Barksdale AFB last August 30?

2. The Air Force said "oops", well actually, “a series of procedural breakdowns and human errors.” (Oh sure)!

3. The Air Force launched an investigation under "Bent Spear" status.

4. Nuclear devices, by Air Force policy and regulations, are not permitted to transported from one storage location to another on aircraft capable of releasing such devices. And furthermore must be transported in special containers to minimize the risk of environmental contamination should the transporting aircraft crash. (Limit environmental contamination if the plane crashed? Heck, these weapons were designed to destroy the environment when used as directed!) Under no conditions are nuclear devices to be transported from one storage location to another on a "wing mounted weapons pods" as they were in this incident!

5. USA nuclear device "chain of custody" is the most arduous and through on this planet. (I can attest to this assertion, I have personally known former US Air Force personnel who worked in nuclear silos and nuclear storage facilities. Nuclear devices just don't come up missing - PERIOD! Remember Air Force SP security personnel guarding nuclear storage facilities are authorized to use deadly force ON ANY UNAUTHORIZED person getting too close to nuclear devices! - and I wouldn't want it any other way.)

6. Remember the drumbeat to war about Iran nuclear enrichment facilities at Natanz, and to a lesser degree the Syrian enrichment facilities at Dayr az-Zwar? Keep this in the back of your mind!

7. Also remember on 6 Sep 2007, Israel bombed the Syrian enrichment facilities at Dayr az-Zwar, near the village of Tal Abyad, in northern Syria, near the Turkish border. Israel's attack was code named OPERATION ORCHARD.

8. Remember back in 2001 Bush granted Cheney special "National Security Event" powers, giving the VP control of the USA Armed Forces for the duration of the security event?

9. Now lets start connecting the dots, so to speak. Here is what I assert transpired:

• Cheney issued a special security event, BYPASSING the "standard" military chain of command.
• Cheney had intended a covert coordinated attack against the heavily fortified Iranian enrichment facility at Natanz by US Air Force planes, and the Syrian enrichment facility would be attacked by Isreali Air Force planes.
• Under the special security event, Cheney issued orders to have variable yield W-80-1 nuclear tipped cruise missiles transported from Minot ND, via Barksdale AFB LA, and ultimatley to the middle east for the covert operation. Specifically these bunker busting nuclear devices were intended for use against the heavily fortified Iranian enrichment facility at Natanz.
• Everything was going according to plan until Air Force top brass pushed back against the covert operation and leaked the B-52 incident to the Military Times publication ON 5 SEP 2007. Once this leak hit the news media, the covert operation secrecy was blown, and USA attack against Natanz was ordered to "stand down". However the Isreali's went ahead with their part of the covert operation and bombed the Syrian enrichment facility at Dayr az-Zwar on 6 Sep 2007.
• I believe we still have professional people in the military who do not want to risk a military contest with Iran that could end up with one or more nuclear capable nations exchanging nuclear devices - IE WWW III. I think were all in favor of that! Don't you?
• As the dust began to settle around Washington DC, serveral top secret security briefings were held. Cheney was fingered in this fiasco!
• I believe after top government officials were briefed about the events, they were enraged and demanded Cheney resign immediately citing "health reasons." I can only hazard a guess as to who attended these meeting, but they would include; top officials from the FBI, CIA, Joint Chiefs, Senate Armed services committee members possessing necessary security clearances, and some congressional members possessing necessary security clearances.
• Cheney, in his usual arrogant and determined manner, pushed back and said "NO and HELL NO".
• Now on Nov 6th, and Dennis Kucinich's Articles Of Impeachment (AOI) were introduced as a privileged resolution (H Res 333 - now called H Res 799). Nancy Pelosi was dreading this vote and wanted nothing more than this privileged resolution to just go away. She believed the best course for the democrats is to play it safe until the republicans get slaughtered in the November 2008 election.
• Guess what? To put pressure on Cheney to resign, REPUBLICANS in the house begin changing their vote. Nancy must have been be ready to pass out at that point! The House Resolution ultimately passes and is sent to the Judiciary committee.

This interpretation of events helps me to sleep somewhat better at night, knowing we a few intelligent, patriotic, and professional people left in our government. Now we wait for the drama to unfold. Will Cheney resign? Will the House Judiciary committee begin investigating Articles Of Impeachment against Cheney? Only time will tell.
